Nacho Bean Dip

Sensory Objectives

This is cheesy and delicious! The cream cheese and sour cream make the beans smooth and more mild in flavor, but the peppers and salsa will add just a little spice

Speech Objectives

Do you ever eat nachos? Are the flavors in the dip similar? What meal would this go well with?

Ingredients

  • 1 can (nonfat) refried beans

  • 2 cans diced green chiles

  • 8 oz. low fat cream cheese

  • 8 oz. sour cream (low fat is ok)

  • 1 Packet Chili or Taco Seasoning

  • ¼ cup salsa

  • 3 cups shredded cheddar jack cheese

  • 2 shakes of Tabasco sauce


Instructions

Mix all ingredients except the cheese., with a hand mixer. Then mix in half of the cheese. Spread dip into an oven proof pan and top with the remaining cheese.

Bake at 325 degrees for 15-20 minutes.

Serve warm with tortilla chips or use on tacos and burritos in place of plain refried beans.
